This chassis (72-1-8FP) was originally supplied to Roger McCaig of Canada for his use during the 1972 Can Am season. Both Roger McCaig and Chuck Parsons drove this McLaren in the 1972 Can-Am Championship.  

 

After McCaig, this McLaren was sold and used in SCCA club racing until being purchased by Reg Howell in 1984. This chassis has retained the original SCCA brass tag from 1972 mounted to the dash and it's original log book.
